Series Thoughts: Blackhawks vs. Flames

I predicted a Blackhawks victory and I was right. I think I predicted five games and the Flames were tenacious enough to make it six, but they just couldn’t pull off a victory and, in fact, in the last two games, they were clearly out-played.

Calgary didn’t play bad, they kept it competitive for the first four games, but somewhere along the line they slipped up and let the series get away from them. I honestly thought, after game four, that they were going to make it seven games and that the Flames could steal a victory. I was wrong. The Blackhawks played solid in those last two games–it was obvious how badly they wanted to progress to the next round and that they weren’t letting anything stand in their way.

The Blackhawks played the way you have to in the play-offs and that’s why they’re the ones progressing to the second round.
