Stanley Cup Final Prediction

After several weeks of exciting hockey, the Stanley Cup final is about to start and it’s a repeat of last year.

Last year, after Detroit won, I predicted a rematch this season. I brought up the story of the 1983 Stanley Cup final between the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Islanders. The Islanders were the seasoned veterans who easily disposed of the young, but talented Oilers. The Oilers learnt a valuable lesson and the next year they came back to defeat the Islanders. I predicted that the same would happen with Detroit and Pittsburgh and I may be proven right.

I really do think that the Pens can win this. They’re a young, talented team and last year they learnt a valuable lesson about what it takes to succeed in the Stanley Cup final and I think that this year they can pull it off. But it won’t be easy. The Red Wings are a tough team and they’re not going to give up without one Hell of a fight. To win this, the Pens are going to have to give it they’re all and make very few mistakes.

Still, I think they can do it and I’m predicting that at the end of game six, the Pittsburgh Penguins will be celebrating they’re first Stanley Cup victory in seventeen years.
